1

Jump squats — start slow

Week 1–2: squat only, no jump · Week 3–4: add small hop

Stand feet hip-width. Lower into a squat, then push up explosively (or just stand tall in week 1–2). Land softly with bent knees. The impact is what builds bone density — but only add it when you feel ready.

Resistance band deadlift

Stand on band, hold handles · hinge at hips · keep back flat

Stand on the middle of your resistance band with feet hip-width. Hold the handles or ends. Hinge forward at the hips (not the waist) keeping your back flat and chest lifted. Drive through your heels to stand tall. Feel it in your hamstrings and glutes.

Glute bridge

Bodyweight or band across hips · squeeze at the top

Lie on your back, knees bent, feet flat on the floor hip-width apart. Press through your heels and lift your hips until your body forms a straight line from shoulders to knees. Squeeze your glutes hard at the top for 2 seconds. Lower slowly. Great for the posterior chain and pelvic floor.

Why These Exercises Work For You

🦴

Jump squats + deadlifts create mechanical load on your bones. Impact and resistance are the two biggest triggers for bone density — more important than calcium alone after menopause.

🍑

Glute bridges + deadlifts target the posterior chain — the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back — which tends to weaken and lose tone fastest after 40.

💪

Rows + dips + tricep press build the upper body muscle that improves posture, reduces bra-strap area fat, and tones the backs of the arms.

🚶

Walking is your cortisol-lowering tool. High cortisol = belly fat storage. Two walks a week keeps stress hormones in check without overtaxing your body.

🎯

Dead bug + side crunch target the deep core — the transverse abdominis — which is what actually flattens the belly, not surface crunches.
